Two Distinctive Sauna Spaces and Over 200kg of Stones
Our facility features two sauna rooms, each with a distinct character.
The centerpiece is the unique "Kura Sauna Room," a space exclusively renovated from an original Edo-period storehouse. A HARVIA stove and over 200 kg of sauna stones invite you into a timeless meditative experience, accompanied by the crackling of firewood and the historical silence of the storehouse. Additionally, the private sauna room inside the traditional house, exclusively for staying guests, features a Helo stove that maintains high humidity for extended periods, offering a gentle and deep heat for ultimate relaxation.

当施設には、趣の異なる2種類のサウナ室がございます。
主役は、江戸時代から残る蔵を改装した唯一無二の「蔵サウナ室」です。 HARVIA社製ストーブと200kg超のサウナストーンが、薪火の爆ぜる音と歴史の静寂の中で、時を超えた瞑想体験へと誘います。また、宿泊者専用の古民家内のサウナ室には、高湿度を長時間維持できるHelo社製ストーブを採用しており、じんわりと柔らかな熱で極上のリラックスを提供します。
Abukuma Underflow Water and Four Seasons of Open-Air Cooling
For the cold bath, we luxuriously use the Abukuma underflow water, nurtured by Shirakawa's nature. Maintained at approximately 14∘C to 17∘C year-round, this water washes away heat and fatigue from your core, providing invigorating refreshment. An exclusive barrel-shaped cold bath is also available for guests, where cold stimulation sharpens the mind and body's senses.
The outdoor relaxation space offers panoramic forest views. Time spent engaging with nature through winter snow-viewing, spring fresh-green, or autumn foliage saunas will release daily stress and revitalize you for the future.
阿武隈の伏流水と、五感で楽しむ四季の外気浴
水風呂には、白河の自然が育んだ阿武隈の伏流水を贅沢に使用。年間を通じて約14〜17℃の冷水が、体幹から熱と疲労を洗い流し、爽快なリフレッシュをもたらします。宿泊者専用エリアには、冷刺激で心身の感覚を研ぎ澄ませる樽型水風呂も完備。外気浴スペースからは森の景色が一望でき、冬の雪見サウナ、春の新緑サウナ、秋の紅葉サウナといった四季折々の自然と対話する時間が、日常のストレスを手放し、明日への活力を与えてくれるでしょう。

A Private Residence: Japanese Aesthetic Meets Modern Design
This is a private, fully-rentable residence where Japanese aesthetics blend with modern design. An established architectural firm renovated the old traditional house, reviving it into a high-quality, modern Wa (Japanese-style) space. It is a refined dwelling that preserves the historical warmth of the wood and structural beauty while exuding calm and dignity.
The spacious living area is equipped with a wood stove to handle the Tohoku cold, allowing for up to 14 guests. It flexibly accommodates large group usage, corporate "workations," and special family trips.
Amenities include Molton Brown products and original sauna aroma oils. With a full kitchen, washing machine, and other facilities perfect for extended stays, you can enjoy your time in Shirakawa as if it were your own private home.
